Waiting List
12th November 2023
Please select year of birth of the child being signed up on the waiting list on the drop down. This is to join Sandhoppers (5-7) and Nippers (7-12). If spaces are available for you child's age group you'll be contacted so please keep your email up to date. Sandhoppers do not require a trial. Nippers are required to have swimming ability for age 7-9 at least 50m with a good stroke and for age 10-12 at least 100m with a good stroke. Nippers will be trialled before joining. During the summer training is on a Sunday morning at Fistral or another Newquay beach. In the winter training is pooled based and we have to fall in line with pool availability. Fees are set at an AGM each year.
Senior National Championships
20th September 2025
Entries are now open for the Seniors Nationals Event on the 20th and 21st September. Seniors Entry - 4 or more individual races £30.00 Team Only - Teams are limited for Board Rescue/Tube Rescue/Lifesaver Relay/Double Ski and Beach Relay. We can enter multiple teams for the Taplin, Ski and Board Relays. If you wish to enter as a Team Only entry please select this option. Cost is £10.00
Nipper Trial Sessions 2025

This is the sign up for Nipper Trials for the 2025/2026 Nipper season Please only sign up if you have been invited to do so - we invite people only from our waiting list or siblings of current members. If there is no drop down menu for your Childs year of birth unfortunately we don't currently have any spaces left in that age group. We will be assessing the children's swimming, but it is also a chance for them to see if they will enjoy nippers and try out some of the skills they will learn such as board paddling and rescues. Younger children (7-9 years) will need to show they can swim 50m with a good attempt at front crawl (rather than doggy paddle) and without holding the sides. Those 10 and older will need to swim a continuous 100m front crawl with a recognisable stroke. We understand the children maybe nervous and we will attempt to make the session fun rather than a strict test! If the children could be changed ready to get in the pool at 2pm, ideally wearing jammers or a swimming costume rather than boardies or a two piece (as this prevents rub from the boards). They will need goggles.
NSLSC Dinner & Dance 2025

We're combining the elegance of a formal dinner with the laid-back vibes of the beach for a truly unique event. Enjoy a delicious two-course meal, followed by live music that will keep you dancing all night long. The dress code is all about fun and flair – think black tie with board shorts, ball gowns with beach hair and flip flops! Don’t miss this chance to mingle, eat, dance, and celebrate in style at the Oceanside Hotel. It’s an evening you won’t want to miss! Tickets are £30 per person with payment in instalments available. This event is for seniors, youth from competing age under 15 (current 13s) and Nipper/Sandhopper parents.
